MASSOB disclosed that it has embarked on a consultation with critical Igbo traditional, religious and political leaders over the matter.
In a statement by its leader, Comrade Uchenna Madu, made available to DAILY POST on Monday, MASSOB further lamented the increased rot in the society ranging from criminal tendencies, immoral exhibitions, and loss of traditional/cultural values in Igbo land, by the neglect of rendering traditional burial rites to the departed ones.
According to MASSOB in the statement which partly said, “It is untraditional during the times of our forefathers to keep dead members of the family more than two days before burial.
