Spokesman of the Command ASP Lawan Shiisu Adam confirmed the incident in a statement issued to DAILY POST.
He said the incident happened on 31/12/2021 at about 1830hrs when one Sa’idu Abdullahi lodged a direct complaint that one Abdullahi Saleh injured Muhammad Tukur with a cutlass. Shiisu explained that the incident occurred when the deceased Muhammad Tukur met the suspect Abdullahi Saleh to warn him against speaking to his wife.
He said an altercation ensued during the encounter and in the process, the suspect seized a cutlass in possession of Muhammad and inflicted injuries on his hand. Kiyawa said on receiving the ugly report, a team of Policemen swung into action, visited the scene and conveyed the victim to Federal Medical Center B/ Kudu, and arrested the suspect.
