The Lekki Concession Company, LCC, has refuted claims that it removed the CCTV’s at Lekki tollgate few hours before the shooting of protesters on Tuesday.
Reacting, LCC in a statement signed on Wednesday, said it had cooperated with the protesters and did not remove the CCTV. ”As the protest progresses, our tolling equipment were being looted. We recovered items daily with the help of some of the protesters. Such items included air conditioners, violation alarm bells, monitors, keyboards e.t.c.
The Lekki genocide was conceived and executed prematurely by the power that be without given a deep thought to the consequences. Hence the denials by all and sundry. We all know that when crocodiles smile, people weep. May the soul of EndSARSProtest rest in perfect peace.
