Lassa Fever: Nigeria’s death toll hits 188

The health agency said in its weekly report that the number of new confirmed cases decreased from 19 in week 13, to 12., which has infected 276 people and caused six deaths.

Last week, the total number of deaths was 185, meaning three people died from the disease within the last week.NCDC said for reporting week 14, the number of newly confirmed cases decreased from 19 cases in week 13, to 12 cases.There has been a gradual reduction in new cases reported across the country in the last three consecutive weeks.

Of all confirmed cases, 72 per cent are from three states: Edo, 32 per cent; Ondo 32, per cent, and Ebonyi 8 per cent.

As we go all out on Corona, it would be equally great to do something serious on Lassa fever that has been over 1000% more deadly than Covid-19 since its recent outbreak . ncdc

Me: looking at government ignore this particular one while they tilt every single attention towards Covid-19 that has only 6 recorded death cases, for maybe their selfish reasons.

This is already a serious threat than COVID-19. We should beef up preventive and curative measures against Lassa Fever. Thank God for the recoveries from COVID-19. Haven’t heard of a recovery from Lassa. Fmohnigeria please act!

Now the whole world is just viewing, putting eyes on Covid one nine only not Lassa Allah protect us
