The police have brought a Lagos socialite, Otunba Olusegun Ashogbon , before an Igbosere Magistrates’ Court, Lagos for alleged perjury.
Prosecution counsel Mr. M. Aruna, an Assistant Superintendent , alleged that the Owo, Ondo State-born defendant committed the offence on November 12, 2015, at Are Avenue, off Sawyer Street, Dopemu, Lagos. He conceded, however, that bail was at the court’s discretion and prayed that if the Magistrate exercised that discretion in Ashogbon’s favour, it should be on terms that would ensure his attendance for trial.She admitted him to bail in the sum of N50,000 with two sureties in the like sum, among other terms.
