The Grace High School has insisted that its boarding house facility is not yet ready for use by the terminal students preparing to take the West African Senior Secondary Certificate Examination.

Speaking in response to a protest by some parents, who alleged that the school wanted their children to stay in hotels and insisted that the school should open its boarding house, the Director, Grace High School, Mrs Iyiola Edun, told our correspondent that the school resumed on Monday and that she wanted a thoroughly safe environment for the students.

She explained that the school never asked parents to lodge their children in any hotel and did not collect N1.5m for such. “I am more concerned about the safety of the children. I want an ironclad safe environment for these children. The boarding house has not been thoroughly cleaned, fumigated as I wanted it and according to the health safety guidelines. We didn’t ask any parent to keep their children in any hotel,” she said. All rights reserved.
