The new chairman of the Governing Council of the university is Prof. Steve Odi-Owei, a professor emeritus of Mechanical Engineering and former Vice-Chancellor, Rivers State University.
Kumuyi, who was represented by the Chairman, Board of Trustees, Pastor Phillips Oluwi, said, “As a faith-based university, our philosophy is anchored on the conviction that good education rooted in sound Christian principles illuminates the mind, liberates the man and upgrades human qualities, faculties, professional skills, and produces godly leaders with character and integrity.”
He told the council that like other thriving universities across the world, there was the need for Anchor University to attract the best faculty members across the country and the world.
