The Deputy National Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party, Setonji Koshoedo made this call in an interview with journalists in Abuja. Koshoedo decried a situation where an account holder, under the watch of the Central Bank, has to pay three or more different charges on a single transaction. Describing the situation as a ripoff and a continual impoverishment of hard-working Nigerians, he reiterated that such is obtainable only in Nigeria because the current executive and legislative arms of government are shirking in their responsibilities.

The rate at which Banks are stealing in the name of charges is alarming. I have told my bank any more uneccesary charge they will hear from my lawyers.
