Two Senators and four members of the House of Representatives from Kano State have petitioned the Inspector General of Police, Usman Baba, alleging that state government officials orchestrated the attack on the campaign office of Senator Jibrin Barau by hoodlums.had reported that Barau’s Campaign Office located on Maiduguri Road, Kano, was on Thursday, attacked by yet-to-be-identified hoodlums.
They alleged that the attack on Barau’s campaign office was triggered by the November 30 judgement of the FCT High Court which sacked the executive elected by the faction of the APC sympathetic to the state government. The petition read in part, “You will recall that on November 30, an FCT High Court had delivered judgement in a suit concerning the Kano APC congresses and the said judgement did not go down with those who lost in the case.
