The Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Ganduje, has said the creation of more emirates in the state was not a “vendetta” against the Emir of Kano, Muhammad Sanusi II.There have been reports that the creation of four emirates was aimed at whittling down the powers of Sanusi.
The governor made the disclosure while addressing State House Correspondents on the sidelines of ongoing Progressive Governors’ Forum Award Ceremony holding at the State House conference centre, Abuja. He said the emirate was balkanised because Kano State “needs the effectiveness of the traditional rulers”.
Instead of preserving the culture he is killing it for some ego fueled foolish reasons
He's trying to tell us that Sanusi is too small to have picked a battle with him. Sanusi, oya be reporting to the LG chairman.
