Governor Muhammad Badaru Abubakar of Jigawa State has written the state House of Assembly seeking for their approval to access N18.7 billion loan.
He said the governor said the internal loan will be used to cushion the effects of loan payment by the federal government. “I am pleased to inform the Honourable Speaker that the state government is in receipt of a letter from the federal ministry of finance, budget and national planning notifying us of the gracious approval of the president for bridging loan facility of about N656.112 billion available to 35 out of 36 states of the federation”.
