The new Commander of 14 Brigade, Nigerian Army, Ohafia, Brig-General Solomon Kumapayi has said that the army is combat-ready to tackle security challenges in Abia State.

Kumapayi, who said such negative tendencies are not peculiar to the state, explained that he embarked on the visit to inform the governor of his assumption of office in the state. He called on the security agencies to rise to the challenges posed by kidnapping, armed robbery, and cultism which have become serious and major areas of security concern to the government.
