The Kaduna State Independent Electoral Commission has again rescheduled the Zangon Kataf and Biriin Gwari Council polls.DAILY POST recalls that the Chairman, KADSIECOM, Dr Saratu Binta Dikko-Audu had earlier moved election in four local government areas from the 4th to 25th of September, for security reasons.
However, it appears the security situation in the LGA’s are yet to abate as the states electoral body continues to put council polls on hold in the affected LGA’s.The KADSIECOM Chairman, in a statement issued on Friday, said the exercise has now been cancelled in those two areas, for security reasons.
She, however, explained that Chairmanship and Councillorship elections would still hold in Chikun and Kajuru Local Government Areas on September 25, as earlier announced.
