Wife of Imo State Commissioner of Police and Chairperson of Police Officers Wives Association ( POWA), Imo Command, Hajiya Habiba Barde, has donated facilities for the management and treatment of sickle cell

The new facility, worth millions of Naira was installed at the Police Medical Centre, Amakohia in Owerri, the state capital.

She assured that the hospital will be adequately refurbished and equipped for prompt and efficient response to health challenges, while a section of the hospital was dedicated to the management and rehabilitation of sickle cell persons who are often neglected or victimised. “This is why I decided to embark on this huge and expensive project because I understand the significance of quality healthcare delivery in society.
