The Imo State Police Command on Monday began enforcement of the ban on the use of police spy number plates in the state.
The release said, “In line with the Inspector General of Police, IGP Usman Alkali Baba’s directives on the total ban on the use of SPY number plate by vehicle owners in the country without exception as to whether it was procured with the authorization of Police or not has been revoked indefinitely. He said the ban becomes inevitable because of the flagrant abuse of traffic rules and regulations and other extant laws guiding the use of Police SPY Number Plates.
