Imo State Government in partnership with the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) and Drug Free World Africa, DFWA, have raised the alarm over the

high rate of drug addiction among youths, stressing that it is imperative for all stakeholders to fight the menace.Speaking to DAILY POST on the dangers of drug abuse among youths in Owerri, Imo State capital, the Special Adviser to Imo State Governor on Health, Dr Lina Okereke said unknown to us, this habit is one of the major hidden causes of organ failure.

The Coordinator of DFWA Imo State Chapter said most importantly, this is a direct and indirect fight to subdue youth restiveness and other social vices in our communities and Imo State in general.
