AN Oyo State High Court in Ibadan has rejected the fresh application filed by the Attorney General of the Federation, Malam Abubakar Malami, praying the court to vacate the restraining order it granted against the AGF

The court presided over by Justice Ladiran Akintola had on August 4 granted and interim injunction restraining the AGF, the DSS and their agents not to arrest, intimidate, harass and freeze bank accounts of the Yoruba nation activist, Chief Sunday Adeyemo, who is popularly known as Sunday Igboho.

Justice Akintola had on August 18 extended the interim order, but Malami, who was represented at the resumed hearing on Monday by Enock Simeon, filed a fresh application asking the court to vacate the order granted against the arrest of Igboho, who is currently in police custody in Benin Republic. He told the court that he had earlier filed a fresh application for an extension of the restraining order on August 26.
