The Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has explained why he still has faith in the country’s judicial arm despite sacking him as the governor-elect. Recall that the Osun State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal last week sacked Governor Ademola Adeleke and ordered the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, to withdraw the certificate of return issued to him and issue a fresh one to Gboyega Oyetola as the duly elected governor of Osun.

February 2, 2023The tribunal held that Adeleke did not score the majority of lawful votes during the July 16 governorship election in the state.

The tribunal held that Adeleke did not score the majority of lawful votes during the July 16 governorship election in the state. The statement read, “Democracy revolves around the wheel of justice. Justice dispensation is the realm of the judiciary. All democrats must therefore have unshaken faith in the judiciary. I have that trust and confidence in the judiciary to right the wrong and deepen our democracy.

We voted Adeleke in Osun state.

Sodiki ọgbọn Too much sense

No justice in zoo. go home, drink some wine, dance and sleep.

You will disappoint and disgraced by appeal court and the apex court.

The court system is flawed from top to bottom. Every independent body in Nigeria has been corrupted and owned by APC. There’s no such thing as fair play anymore. Smh

Don't worry.. you shall get what you deserve..

I believe so to

This is definitely an afterthought, what happened to the state broadcast he made saying what he had no knowledge about, castigating judgement of competent court. That was an attack on the same judiciary your faith changed on. He should being childish, governance is not a joke.

You will get justice. God is involve and He won't let you be put to shame
