Yunus Akeera, the Assistant Inspector General of Police, AIG in charge of Zone 17, has declared that he is in the zone, which includes the states of Ondo

The two states will not be safe havens for illegal activities, according to Akeera, who issued a strong warning to criminals in the zone.After AIG Etim Okon retired from service on June 5,2022, Akeera assumed responsibility as the fourth AIG in-charge of the zone.

Speaking at the zone’s headquarters in Akure, the capital of Ondo State, Akeera said that Usman Alkali Baba, the inspector general of police, had directed the deployment of specialized operatives to identify the Owo attack culprits and to guard against such attacks in the future.
