When you are acknowledging young actors who are doing well in Nollywood, you cannot ignore the talented Chimezie Imo.

Imo, who is known for his role in the movie ‘Nimbe,’ in a chat with SUNDAY SCOOP, said he won’t do things that doesn’t represent who he is in the pursuit of fame. He said, “I will not do anything that would hurt anyone and anything that goes against everything I stand for and represent as a person. I do not believe in doing things for fame. I just focus on myself and my work.”

The talented actor also added that he didn’t go into acting because of the monetary rewards it provides. “First of all, I didn’t go into acting because of money, but because it’s an avenue for me to express my talent. Talking about it being lucrative, I’d say I can’t complain. I’m blessed”. Speaking about how he copes with the pressure of being in the limelight, he said, “I understand that a certain level of standard is expected for someone in the limelight but going by the constant pressure on celebrities to live a certain lifestyle, I would say that I thrive in being myself and staying on my lane. I do not intend to be swept over by every trend, expectation and swayed by people who might not be there when the consequences set in. I will keep focusing on my journey.
