A Nigerian actress, Ejine Okoroafor, has revealed that she narrowly escaped being sent to jail in Paris over some fake Euro notes that were sold to her by a ‘reputable’ Nigerian bank.page to share her ordeal, stating that on that fateful day, she was ‘ashamed to be a Nigerian’.
Okoroafor further stated that she took the money to a bank in Paris and the cash machine seized the money and provided her with a receipt that the money was fake. According to her, the incident almost got her friend in Paris in trouble as well when they went to MoneyGram to know the authenticity of the currency. The actress said, “I asked my friend who lives here to help me with the transaction. So, we took the surviving €500 to MoneyGram to confirm its authenticity and we almost got into trouble; they wanted to call the Police on us.
Okoroafor claims that she later called the bank to explain what happened, but she did not get a favourable response.
🤨🤨🤨
It may not necessarily be true, even though its very possible. Why do I say so, even here in the UK people at malls, even banks will look at you suspiciously if you present £50 note. Its simple because it's not that widely circulated. If you're not careful they'll claim it's fake
Corruption has destroyed this nation
No be lie oo , ATM has given me fake currency before
Next time you want to collect foreign notes, tell them to note down the serial numbers, make them do a copy for you too, of course signed & stamped. You can't be too careful in Nigeria!
It's a lie....
Just mention the bank name, simple.. Somebody need to held responsible
Sue them if you're with any proof
Imagine a stupid contraption called a country..... Nigeria is a waste
Lol 😂
