September 29, 2022Governor Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra State has condemned the killing of soldiers who were ambushed while on a routine patrol.
The soldiers were killed at Umunze by yet-to-be-identified gunmen in the Orumba South Local Government Area of state.The governor spoke in a statement issued on Wednesday night through his Press Secretary, Christian Aburime, describing the attack as senseless and unprovoked. Soludo said, “We condemn this wicked and cruel attack in the strongest terms. The perpetrators of this act must pay. We are not going to rest on our oars, including those people that attacked Senator Ifeanyi Ubah and the rest. There will be absolutely no hiding place for them.”
“Going forward, our actions will show, as these people must surely pay for this heinous and repulsive attack,” Soludo further added. The governor urged the people of the state to remain calm and law-abiding, assuring them that security agencies are on top of the situation.
