Federal University of Oye-Ekiti has suspended its Bursar, Mrs Bolatito Akande, over alleged misconduct.
Balogun said the bursar was suspended by the university’s Governing Council, chaired by Dr Mohammed Yahuza, to give room for a thorough investigation into the misconducts allegedly committed by Akande. “The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Abayomi Fasina, is a law-abiding citizen and could not have supported brigandage. It is not true that the bursar was harassed.
He further said that the suspension slammed on the bursar was to allow an unfettered probe into the allegations raised against her, adding that she had not been sacked, as being rumoured.
Registrar gone, Bursar going! I think the Governing Council want their men as principal officers of the institution. We will soon hear of the Chief Librarian. How comes that the VC is an 'angel' knowing well that nothing happens without his approval?
Just last week Registrar was suspended and now Bursar, independent audit and investigation outside the system is needed to unravel some things at FUOYE
