Four dead, eight injured as three-storey building collapse in Lagos

Four persons have been confirmed dead with eight seriously injured after a three-storey building collapsed at Obalende, Lagos.

The LASEMA Head of Public Affairs, Nosa Okunbor, who confirmed the incident in a statement said the collapsed building is located at 62, Odo Street, Obalende, Lagos Island.“The cause of the collapse is yet to be ascertained but efforts are presently ongoing by LASEMA and other responders towards salvaging the situation.

As at 5:40 pm, a total of eight people have been extricated alive by the LASEMA Response Team and have been quickly transferred to the Lagos Island General hospital for further medical attention.
