Three African women were featured in the 2021 edition of Forbes 100 Most powerful Women in the world. They are the Director General of the World Trade Organisation , Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala; The President of Tanzania, Ms. Samia Suluhu Hassan and a Nigerian Media Mogul, Ms. Mo Abudu.

Okonjo-Iweala, who became the first women to be on the helms of affairs of the WTO in March 2021, was ranked 91 in the list of 100 most powerful women while President Hassan and Abudu were ranked 94 and 98 respectively on the list. She has said she believed in the power of trade to lift developing countries out of poverty help them achieve sustainable development.

In September, she became just the fifth-ever female African leader to address the U.N. General Assembly where she criticised COVID-19 vaccine inequality. “Over the years, EbonylifeTV has struck major partnership deals with Sony Pictures Television, AMC Networks and Netflix.
