Authorities in Florida were looking into emails sent to registered Democrats demanding that they vote for President Donald Trump in the November 3 election “or we will come after you.”

“You will vote for Trump on Election Day or we will come after you. Change your party affiliation to Republican to let us know you received our message and will comply. We will know which candidate you voted for. The Alachua County sheriff’s office in northern Florida said via Facebook that they “are aware of an email that is circulating, purported to be from the Proud Boys.”

The Proud Boys is a white nationalist hate group known for its misogyny and Islamophobia, according to the Southern Poverty Law Center , which monitors hate groups nationwide.
