Minister of Labour and Employment, Dr Chris Ngige, presides over the meeting between government representatives and labour leaders in Abuja on October 14, 2019.The Federal Government will be meeting with Labour Unions at 7 pm tonight to avert planned strike billed for Monday, September 28.
According to the communique, the Honorable Minister for Labour and Employment, Dr Chris Ngige will be meeting with the Organized Labour at the Presidential Villa Banquet HallEarlier on Sunday, the Nigeria Labour Congress insisted that it will carry on with its proposed strike action with regards to the recent increase in electricity tariff and the removal of petrol subsidy.
Mr Gbajabiamila met with representatives of NLC, at the National Assembly Complex in Abuja, in an attempt to mediate and broker an amicable solution to the impasse between Organised Labour and the Federal Government . He, however, noted that there is a judgement of a Federal High court stopping the increase of electricity tariff which the FG has refused to obey.
Let the government know they are not there themselves and whatever they are doing should be on the positive interest of the masses. May Almighty Allah give you strengths and wisdom to win this battle....
Our reputable Labour Union Executives, please for the sake of Almighty Allah and for the sake of our future generations, please don't mortgage our interest and don't disappoint us this time around.

So they can make a quick and fast response to avert the strike at all means But they ignore the suffering we Nigerian are swimming and dine with everyday. Hope this will bring out light from darkness of ruthless drivers

When you make decisions, you don't involve the stakeholders but when your stupid policies are clear and need public rejection, you call few person to either warn them or give them paper soup to eat at night to change their mind

The thief cometh at night 😂😂😂 Dear Nigerians, shey una dey trust NLC? Una never see anything. BreakingNews: NLC called off strike after collecting vote of thanks in brown envelopes for a job well done 🤣🤣🤣🤣
To what end? The Labour Unions are as terrible as the incumbent government. What's happened with them all these years? Night meeting to get settled? Or to advice them to distance themselves from the protest? The NLC itself is simply SUG that is undergoing postgraduate studies.
