Bishop of the Anglican Diocese of Awgu/Aninri, His Lordship, The Rt. Rev. Benson Chukwunweike and his wife, Mrs. Ifeoma Chukwunweike (Nnechichetara) recently held an outreach for farmers in the Awgu and Aninri Local Council of Enugu State

, who are predominantly farmers. The farmers’ outreach, which took place at the government field, Awgu Local Council headquarters in Awgu, brought together hundreds of farmers and clergy of the Diocese with representatives from the government.

The Bishop who gave an exhortation took his message from Psalms 126 and Acts 14:7, which focused on ‘Rogation.’ While asking for God’s intervention, prosperity, protection and bountiful harvest, Chukwunweike led the people in a heart-warming prayers and blessed all and sundry. The cleric also shared bags of fertilizer to hundreds of people that attended the event who are mainly widows across denominational divides.
