Farm Produce Now Sold At Ridiculous Prices In North, Traders Count Losses | Sahara Reporters Farmers said before the protest, they usually transport a minimum of 20 trucks to the southern part of the country daily, but the strike has affected... READ MORE:

Farmers and traders in Kano are lamenting as farm produce, which can't be sent to the South due to the ongoing strike by sellers of cows and foodstuff, are now being sold at the North at ridiculously low prices.

SaharaReporters had reported that trucks bringing foodstuff to the Southern part of Nigeria were turned back at Kara Jebba, the last village between Niger state and Kwara state, to prevent them from bringing food to the South. The strike led to an increase in the price of food commodities in the South, but the prices are plummeting in the north.

Niger Delta should shut down the oil and gas pipe lines going to the North, lets see if the North will not crumble.

Because WE in the were(are), EMOTIONAL! The LOW/HIGH COSTS of goods/services are a result of emotional decision. Which is dangerous, of course.

They should continue for just 6 month... Nobody will tell them

Let the political elite continue to divide us.but when the share the national cake no south no north.they don't fight and the have more than enough

Hahahaha dey have called off the strike oooooo without beg hmmmmmmmmmmm

Q t

They should take it to neighboring countries and see if southern Nigerians will be able to feed themselves or not.

Yes keep selling to yourselves...you have always sold to us at more costly rates and we did not complain. Continue to hoard your stupidity.

Let's the stupidity continue and see who will suffer. Bunch of miscreants.

It's time the south reclaim their land and go back to farming....no more grazing land for herders. They eat the crops we plant, kill farmers and want to starve us. Too bad and too late....one Nigeria is a mirage.

Lie lies...

🤣🤣🤣🤣

Are they complaining 🤔... Pls let's divide ➗...make we go separate ways 💯

Hehehehe I no fit laugh oooo!!!

Fake news!

It has been long dis Govt of Fulani is using 'starvation' they learnt from Awolowo against de entire 'indigenous people' in Nigeria especially de South. They high unemployment is mostly in de South as, their people weda cripple/uneducated ar on Govt payroll.

Please don't bring it to the south again. God has a better plan for us now than when we are one lie lie Nigeria. Please there will be training on artificial Insemination for interested livestock farmers in SW, Ibadan by March, 2021. Will post details. All ranching of animals

It will be a lost for the Farmers, remember they have family 👪, they need to pay bills, watching your product Perish before your very eyes 👀 can lead to depression.

All this braggados will be to SW advantage, at least our agriculturist will be at peace, without terror of herdsmen.

Tell them we don't want we are actually doing the blockage too..we can grow tomatoes and onions too.tell your beggers to leave here . We feed them everyday

Every good thing comes HARD this is your sacrifice but you will replace your losses when things put in order, think of your life first, there's no second life...think twice,... money comes money goes but life continues, once gone, gone forever....... your family are left behind.

If other part of Nigeria started their own strike u will suffer the most... don't forget we can open border for importations of foods stuff..that's wen your eyes that is being blindfolded will get open...northern feed the nation with the money of that nation...

Let them eat it.

I blame the northern for believing they feed the nation. every part of Nigeria have what they contribute to Nigeria..of u said u feed the nation. Are u using only your money to buy farm equipments ? Is it not Nigeria money that are been used to support your farming ? Use ur brain

The country don spoil

ENDSARS This is just the beginning we've not start anything yiet you ppl have counting your losses,

Are Niger and Benin no longer buying?

I'm very happy with their strike, it serves as eyes opener for the Souths. Pls, my Almajiri friends, let it unending.

These folks act like he south gets the food for free. You strike, your products remain with you, they spoil, you run at a loss and you can't eat them all by yourself. Its business, you need the south and their money more than you think, remember the south can feed itself comfy.

For we in the Abuja axis, time to fill the storehouse 🤣🤣🤣

We are all important to each other. So let's learn how live peaceful. Nothing good comes out of conflicts take Liberia and other African countries as examples. We won't know the value of peace until we lost it. Let's be wise please

They can eat their crops and sand inclusive.

What I am looking at is d collective will. How they can come together to agree and execute this even at a loss. Can this happen in d south? Lets see how d beef strike will hold on friday in d south! Some will remember dat dey are not from Yoruba or are APC etc

Its a measure to punish the South, the fact that its not successful doesn't mean the South should relent, we must do everything to attain Self Sufficiency in Food production soon so that the North won't use this strategy to starve us to death

Wetin dey suprise me be say food still cost for the North wey I dey. Abi na which north una dey talk about?

Onpe

🤣una never see anything
