Lai Mohammed, the Minister of Information and Culture has told Nigerians to expect 11,000 megawatts of electricity by 2023 following the agreement the Nigerian government reached with German firm Siemens
“Under the three-phase agreement, Nigerians will enjoy 7,000 megawatts of reliable power supply by the end of 2021 , 11,000 megawatts by the end of 2023 and 25,000 megawatts in the third phase. On the fight against corruption, Mohammed said the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Offences Commission and the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission recovered cash and assets in excess of N118 billion in the last one year.Of the cash recoveries made by ICPC, N41.98 billion was restrained on review of MDAs’ Personnel Cost Expenditure and Capital Development Fund while N35.011 billion was recovered in lands, buildings and vehicles, N1.
