It remains to be seen whether the Ecuador midfielder is in the right frame of mind to face Liverpool in the FA Cup on Sunday. Arsenal have made a £60million offer for the 21-year-old. The offer has already been rejected by Brighton.
The Gunners are set to return with an improved offer. And a bid of around £80million may tempt Brighton into selling. Although they recognise it could be difficult to reject the overtures if Caicedo pushes harder for an exit.
