The Governor of Ondo State, Rotimi Akeredolu, SAN, has charged women in the country to embrace politics “beyond the jamboree associated with their presence, which is usually singing and dancing at political functions.”
This was disclosed by his Chief Press Secretary, Richard Olatunde, in a statement titled ‘Dont Leave The Politics Of This Country For Men, Gov Akeredolu Charges Women.’ “Insecurity is limiting our National development. Insecurity is the cause of the poverty you are addressing today. With insecurity, governance is zero.
“He explained that the quality of the participation and favorable policies will go a long way in determining the growth of women in the society.
RotimiAkeredolu I'm happy to accept an appointment as the commissioner for women's affairs. How about you help ensure the inclusion of women in politics?
Maybe. Just maybe. If Nigerian men do not hoard power we will see more women in politics. Only 1 woman in a political position in Abia.
RotimiAkeredolu OfficialAPCNg Mrs. Salome Acheju Abuh, an active grassroots political leader was burnt to death at her country home, in Ofu LGA of Kogi State, by thugs/louts of the ruling party APC, on November 18, 2019. She was 60 years old💔May her soul Rest in Peace. Amen.
