Sowore was released after a federal high court in Abuja gave Nigeria’s secret police a 24-hour ultimatum. OmoyeleSowore Sowore

The Department of State Services has released the convener of #RevolutionNow Movement, Omoyele Sowore.

The court also awarded N100,000 against the prosecution for failing to comply with court orders requesting the release of Sowore and for not serving the defense counsel with necessary documents early enough. “This matter cannot go on,” Justice Ojukwu said. “There is no way it can go on, and the adjournment is at your instance.”

The Nigerian government filed additional charges against Sowore on Friday, September 20, a day before the completion of the initial 45 days the court allowed the DSS to keep him in custody.

Lesson: Choose your battles carefully. Not all causes and ideals are worth dying for. Clamoring for a just and egalitarian society where the rule of law and basic human rights are not well established is a fools errand to put it mildly. Nigeria, sadly is not ready yet.

Finally!!!!

Is the struggle still on?... good governance.... systematic analysis of our governmental and economic system and many more.....until we reach that apex of satisfaction....?

Congratulations
