Nigerian sprinter Blessing Okagbare’s ban status over alleged usage of a prohibited substance continues to hang in the balance about two months after her provisional suspension.

The Athletics Integrity Unit, in a statement, said Okagbare tested positive for the prohibited substance in an out-of-competition test on July 19 – four days before the Olympics began in July. Reports, however, emerged in the media on Wednesday that Okagbare’s B test returned negative and she had started serving her four-year ban.
