A professor of Educational Technology at the University of Ibadan, Prof Ayotola Aremu, has said that students can acquire skills while playing educational games.

Aremu, who described students in the new generation as “techy”, said this in a video recording where she commended the educational game,She said, “These days, the students we have belong to the ‘techy’ generation. They are very vast with technology; they can stay with their computers particularly games for hours. Now, there is a goal attached to this game. It is not that they are just playing away their time; because as they play the game, they also acquire skills.

Also commenting on the educational game, the Permanent Secretary, Oyo State Ministry of Education, Mrs Atere Bamidele, said the educational game would help students to boost their literacy and leadership skills. She said, “Together with Solve Education, we hope to empower our students to become future leaders by empowering them with English literacy, technology and other skills so that they can be a part of the global conversation. This holistic learning experience will offer our students opportunities to hone their leadership skills and teamwork as they work as a team to achieve learning objectives.”
