A prominent chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party and founder of Daar Communication Limited, Chief Raymond Dokpesi, has applauded the unwavering

The PDP leader insisted that the state chapter has remained supportive to the advancement of the party for the past years and also noted that Abia had produced great leaders of this nation that sacrificed immensely to its sustenance.

He further informed the PDP leaders in Abia that his visit to the state was to inform them of the intention of former Nigeria Vice President, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar to contest the position of President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in 2023. He stated clearly that Abia has always been a PDP controlled state since the formation of the party, and reiterated the continued support of the state leadership and the members to the party as it remained the only political party with the interest of the people at heart.

The Party chairman restated that Abia has remained a PDP state under the leadership of Governor Okezie Ikpeazu and further assured that state leadership will work for the interest of the southeast zone in such a manner that will support presidential aspirant that will emerge victorious on platform of the party during the election.
