They said no descendant of Ologbostsere family would accept the stripping of Ayiri Emami of the title, stressing that the family is open for talks and mediation and had set up a committee to consult widely and find a way of resolving the quagmire in Warri Kingdom.

Spokesman of the Ologbotsere descendants, Alex Eyengho, made this known at the weekend, saying some chiefs are the masterminds of the crisis due to their quest to get better recognition in the kingdom. The descendants, who insisted that the Olu of Warri, Ogiame Atuwatse III, had no hand in the dethronement, accused the Iyatsere of Warri, Chief Johnson Amatserunleghe and Chief Brown Mene as ploting the dethronement for their personal ambitions.

“The Iyatsere of Warri plotted the removal of the Ologbotsere to pave way for his becoming number one chief in the Warri Kingdom and make the Ologbotsere number two against the extant laws. “The Olu didn’t make the pronouncement. I take it as a declaration from Mene and not the Olu of Warri. It is then left for the Warri monarch to publicly confirm what Mene said, but Mene, who made the announcement, is not even among the first five or first 10 chiefs in Warri Kingdom,” he added.
