The people of Idjerhe Kingdom otherwise known as Jesse in Delta State have called on the state governor, Dr Ifeanyi Okowa, to support the community by siting an institution of higher learning in the area.
The community members made the calls on Sunday during a thanksgiving and grand reception commemorating the first year coronation anniversary of their traditional ruler, Ovie Monday Udurhie I. The traditional ruler, who presented the community’s requests to the government, commended Okowa “for the numerous appointments bestowed on worthy Idjerhe sons and daughters.”
The monarch spoke further, “Idjerhe Kingdom is a major player in the oil and gas industry as we are host to Seplat Energy with over 20 corked oil and gas wells.
