The parents, who said they were pained by what the teacher did to their children, said giving him a severe punishment would serve as a deterrent to others.
The father of six explained that he was not aware of the development until the daughter told her mother of what the teacher did to her and she in turn reported the issue to him. He noted that though parents have a role to play in the upbringing of their children and wards, there is need for the school to also pay adequate attention to the kids, while in its custody to forestall future occurrence.
