Kogi politician and activist, Natasha Akpoti, on Friday donated three ventilators to the Federal Medical Centre (FMC) Lokoja to help tackle the coronavirus pandemic.

Kogi politician and activist, Natasha Akpoti, on Friday donated three ventilators to the Federal Medical Centre Lokoja to help tackle the coronavirus pandemic.

According to her: “It is trite knowledge that Nigeria’s healthcare sector especially that of Kogi State is dilapidated largely due to governmental neglect. “As of today, there is no recorded case of COVID-19 in Kogi, but it does not mean we should fold our hands only to act at the 11th hour. “The quality of health care service one gets depends on the experience of the personnel and the quality of equipment available.

“I am doing this not because I am a politician, no. They are for everyone’s use. I hope that the business communities in the state should do the same by donating equipment to the hospitals rather than cash to the government.” “This is a big gesture to Kogi and Nigeria. The ventilators are life support machines that are meant to help patients having respiratory failure.“So, for her to go the extra mile to get the ventilators for the hospital is a huge thing for the institution.

Stop donating to FG. Empower NGO’s . Do your due diligence on the NGOs first . Check their activities on social networks and their communities or their area of coverage.

More grease ma,

This is what you should be doing not playing prank calls with NCDCgov call center agents in this difficult time. Kudos 👍👌.

This is good news, people taking this seriously... but one question... why does she have ventilators just sitting around that she donates? Or does she manufacture them? Just asking o
