The Deputy Governor, Dr Hadiza Balarabe, in a broadcast to the people of the state on Thursday, said that the decision is in line with the 1999 constitution.
The Deputy Governor said that State Standing Committee on Covid-19 prevention met on Thursday to review global and national developments relating to the coronavirus pandemic. “From midnight of Thursday, 26th March2020, all residents of Kaduna State must stay at home. No offices, businesses of any sort or places of worship are allowed to open.”
“Churches and mosques will be shut, there will no congregational prayers or services either within these places of worship or outdoors. According to her, government recognises that the lockdown would not have consequences for everyone, but more so for the vulnerable persons in the communities.
The headline is malicious, very unprofessional and more sinister than coronavirus
Misleading the public is nothing good
This is so mean, you people want to make it like he ban only church activities rather religious activities. You people are real Bigots 😏
Hope he banned going to mosque too?
Why create sensational headings? You know people to read yet you chose to post what you think will will pull traffic to you. All religious activities (not church alone) are banned!
Church activities and mosques as well...typical Naija journalism.

Apparently this is a misleading headline. Take the post down you people should be ashamed of yourselves, lousy reporters.
Ban that was effective since yesterday and no jummaat prayers was performed today and you only included churches in your tweet and exclude mosques activities. Enemies of Nigeria in habdwork.
it will not be well with you all. Amen
SHAME ON YOU
*Religious activities Daily trust fix your shit
Why are you misleading people? Why do you wanna create chaos? The governor banned all gatherings from Mosques, churches and all other activities. Why do you wanna raise religious war? This is so shameful
This is just wrong, misleading and inciting!!
Mr el-rufai has started again ooo
All for traffic, mosque are also banned.

Useless sensational headline from a useless handle by a useless person signed off by a useless individual who works for an utterly useless news post that shouldn't be in existence As you'r hell bent on setting Nigeria on fire, may . head office be burnt beyond repair
Take this stupid and misinforming post down pls
This headline is misleading.
Sensationalizing a news item to curry hits to your site is unconscionably banal, self-serving and degrading. Shame !!!
How else do you guys expect them to drive traffic on their site?
See as supposed media want to cause commotion on a Friday oh...shame on you
Please i think Twitter should suspend this Account. Please report this account
Rephrase your headlines. I and definitely a lot of Nigerians head the able governor elrufai make the proclamation. All gatherings inclusive of Churches and mosques were included. He specifically said we should pray to God in the closet of our homes.
Okay this is a very misleading clickbait abeg. Reactions are not worth spreading incomplete news around!
This is another attempt to promote religious bigotry. This same handle will be one of the first to share unfortunate news when this leads to religious war. Quite unfortunate.
Seriously am highly disappointed...which kind of misinformation is this... Curfew affects all... What is ban wedding, church activities... I wonder why they even verified handle giving us fake news.... Unprofessional journalism at it core....
Elrufai with his penchant for overdoing things. Acknowledged that many measures have been taken like ban on congregations, why the 24hr curfew again.
Useless newspaper! You gain nothing by misinforming the gullible lot. You gain everything by being upright. Fools.
Participatory journalism at its best
Why do you want to cause issues with this headline of yours, why are you people like this, to what gain. So that people will buy into your business or to cause another war, the one we have never end, you are stating another one
The publisher of this paper must be very stupid. Yes, I repeat very very stupid for such a useless headline. Nonsense!!!
You people think this is journalism but it's not. Setting up click baits is so so wrong. These types of headlines only stir up violence.
Stop misleading information, Most elrufai good intentions always be mix with religion matters? We in Kaduna are not complaining because we know it's for the good of the state, and the country at large.
Why not say, he refused to ban mosque so as to have all Muslims infected. Insha Allah Elrufai will leave longer than you and your company
Hey including mosques too thank you
elrufai come n see what these bigots are doing... Use ur good office to put them in their place please sir
What are you trying to prove? This curfew is for the benefit of all, stop making it look like they are suppressing any religion. God bless the Governor for taking this measures for all
'Churches and mosques will be shut, there will no congregational prayers or services either within these places of worship or outdoors.' STOP 🛑 WITH THE HALF-BAKED SENSATIONAL HEADLINES. Most lazy religious bigots won't bother to read the full report
Freedom of the press this freedom of the press that, now look at what you're doing with it. Are you not ashamed of yourself?
Always shopping for trouble and chaos
How can a responsible media report news in this manner? What a mischievous journalism!
Misleading headline. Even in the midst of a global pandemic that is gender/faith/creed blind.
What's with this headline for God's sake. Everything is on hold, mosques, churches, clubs, even market places.
How you people chose to tow the path of divisiveness against the ethics of professionalism beats me. The press statement talks about ban on all religious and social gathering but you chose to emphasize ban on church activities. Woe betide all subtle agents of division in 🇳🇬
I like that Our Next president
This is disgusting journalism. So sad!!
Will you die if you say it as it is?! Bigots!
Baba imposes curfew, ban mosque activities too. As you know today is Friday don't be selfish
“Churches and mosques will be shut, there will no congregational prayers or services either within these places of worship or outdoors. Wedding events and all social gatherings are strictly prohibited' Oloriburuku ni yin
“From midnight of Thursday, 26th March2020, all residents of Kaduna State must stay at home. No offices, businesses of any sort or places of worship are allowed to open.”

Bigotry at its best. Misleading Headline.
It is for the benefit of all.... Stay safe... stay home.... elrufai you're doing a good job
Religious activities is a better headline.
Your headline is misleading the public, you can do better..
Asmauu_ Shambolic journalism.
Blaster_M_ Congregational Religious activities please. 😠😠😒😒 misleading headline
He ban all activities. Truth! Mosque , church except health workers.
Without any palliative measure. No food no lights and you asked people to stay at home.
Instead of including only Churches in your headline, you should have said, religious activities. Most people will not read the story and think mosques are not involved. The headline is misleading
You forgot Muslim Friday prayers in your headline. Deliberate?
Terrible headline
Is it only church activities that has been banned? Freaking bigots!
Why won't you just leave at Gov. El-rufai imposes curfew in Kaduna.
pls try to be balance with your report next time use religion activities instead of church alone...
As usual they want to stir public sentiments with the headline. Bigots
GbemiDennis Malicious headline, and people will always fall for it.
Click bet You had to omit mosque so it’ll look like an attack on Christianity
Please, we don't always have to be so bigotry. The ban isn't on Church activities alone it includes the ban of jumaat prayers too and Islamiya too(Islamic schools). Why do we have to be so naive towards religious issues? Irritating.
Poor journalism + lazy readers..... At this kind period you still have time to give this kind of dividing headline. What is your gain. Kaduna doing well.
I hope mosques activities is ban also?
Church activities and mosques as well, not even little mosques in the neighborhood is allowed to pray in congregation. Please read his full press statement and STOP playing victim in everything 🤷🏾♂️
I'm sure he said mosque too
El-rufai hmmm, why only church activities?
He has always wanted to ban churches 🙄
