COVID-19 cases in Africa now over 175,000 – WHO

The World Health Organisation WHO says the number of confirmed Novel COVID-19 cases in Africa has risen to over 175, 000.

“There are over 175,000 confirmed COVID-19 cases on the African continent – with more than 77,000 recoveries and 4,800 deaths,’’ it said.According to the WHO, South Africa has 43,434 cases and 908 deaths, followed by Nigeria with 11, 844 confirmed cases and 333 deaths, while Algeria has 9,935 confirmed cases and 690 deaths.

WHO noted that Lesotho, Seychelles and Namibia were countries currently with the lowest confirmed cases in the region.

Waiting for WHO to worry over the fact that people are protesting in the US without observing social distancing. This is where their focus should be, & not in prodding a puppet & confounded NCDCgov into conjuring up numbers which we can't see or verify. Crazy folks everywhere

And so? They should also tell us the number of malaria infections!! Why make unnecessary noise that affects livelihood about Covid-19, when other illnesses are out there doing worse to humanity We should please move on with Covid-19 just as other diseases.
