A Federal High Court in Abuja has issued a bench warrant for the arrest of a Principal Manager with the National Identity Management Commission, Ms Jamila Muhammed, for failure to appear in court over

allegations of corruption.

The statement said, “Gwarzo is facing six counts bordering on abuse of office for awarding several contracts to Outbound Investment Limited, a private company where he doubled as a director even while he was DG of SEC. The commission said their actions were contrary to sections 12 and 19 of the Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Act, 2000, and punishable under the same sections.ICPC added that the arraignment of the two persons was slated for Tuesday, February 18, 2020, before Justice O. A. Adeniyi, but for the absence of Ms Muhammed, who was said to be sick and on admission at the National Hospital, Abuja.

Before I read this article, let me take a guess: the NIMC manager is a Christian. They just want to remove him and put a Muslim.

The news has nothing to do with the NIMC. We should read through the report before casting aspersions on the Commission. Headlines might be misleading !

In Nigeria when you're made any DG of any institution or occupy any public office automatically looting started. That's the first and primary assignment by default.

Fraud fraud fraud every angle....

What about those incompetent and fraudulent NIMC staff who have made it impossible for millions of Nigerians to receive a basic identity card? 🤔

Everyone is looting left, right and centre.

They should just hang him...

He must explain why millions of card have not been issued

He should go to jail with some of their workers those people are irritating

His arrest is long overdue
