A member of the National Youth Service Corps identified as Yanusa Ranatu has given birth to a baby boy in Bayelsa State.

Ranatu, with call-up number BY/21B/1675, had just concluded her registration on Thursday at the NYSC Orientation Camp in Kaiama, headquarters of the Kolokuma/Opokuma Local Government Area, when she went into labour. The State Coordinator of NYSC, Mrs. Ojugo Iyowuna, later led a delegation of camp officials to visit the child and Ranatu, who hails from Kwara State. The corps member thanked the NYSC for the intervention, saying the scheme “is truly a caring institution.”
