The COVID-19 patient who escaped the Osun state isolation facility has been found.
Ishmael Omipidan, Chief Press Secretary to the Osun State Governor, Gboyega Oyetola confirmed that the patient was found on Saturday afternoon.There were reports on Saturday morning that six patients who tested positive for Coronavirus fled the isolation centre. However, the state’s Commissioner for Information and Civic Orientation, Mrs Funke Egbemode, in a statement on Saturday disclosed that only two people could not be accounted for during the headcount done by a government official at the Isolation centre.
Twenty-two of the 127 returnees from Ivory Coast had been isolated by the Osun government after they tested positive for coronavirus.
