There was commotion on Thursday as unidentified persons disrupted the ongoing collection of Permanent Voters Cards (PVCs) at Ilesa West Local Government

According to eyewitnesses, the unidentified persons who were suspected to be political thugs had stormed the venue of the PVC collection and terrorised residents who had gathered to collect their PVCs scampered for safety.

In order to ensure safety of lives, the Independent National Electoral Commission Electoral Officer for the local government had to temporarily suspend distribution of PVCs following the attack. Confirming the development in a chat with newsmen, the Osun INEC spokesperson, Osimosu Oluwaseun, explained that the information was true.

She, however, disclosed that the situation had been brought under control and the exercise would continue tomorrow, Friday, June 24, 2022.

Not only in Osun both in in Abuja and Lagos

This seems to be the new startegy across board. inecnigeria and the PoliceNG have to do the needful. These thugs must be stopped in their tracks else it could lead to break down of law and order.
