A Coalition of Civil Society Organisations has written Vice President Yemi Osinbajo over the continued detention of Glory Okolie, a 21-year-old young woman arrested and enslaved by operatives of the Inspector-General of
Police’s Intelligence Response Team in Imo State.After 66 days in detention, the police, in a statement said she was arrested for alleged membership of IPOB and for working with one Uzoma Emojiri to attack officers and stations in Imo.
I don't know if this so called Civil Society group has really investigated this matter, the lady in question was arrested for working with IPOB as a terrorist and this is a pure Police matter and the VP Osinbajo is not the IGP
Why planting right seed on a wrong soil, because i can't just understand why involving Osinbajo in this. If actually she is innocent, get her a good lawyer to defend her in court then.
This doesn't concern the VP. The Nigerian Police is not situated under the office of the VP...so he has no jurisdiction. Moreso, her offence is sensitive. It's terrorism related and it must be handled with utmost care.
