“As a church, we are touched by the psychological trauma you and the entire state have been enveloped in.”

Christians Association of Nigeria , Benue State chapter, has expressed deep concern over the spread of COVID-19 in the state. In a sympathy letter signed by its chairman, Rev. Akpen Leva, and secretary, Rev. Jonathan Ugbede, CAN said it was particularly bewildered when it got to know that the governor’s family members, including wife, Dr. Eunice Ortom, and his child tested positive for the virus.

“The infection of members of the first family and some top government functionaries in the state is a great setback to the Benue people and equally catastrophic, even as their desire has been to serve the people of the state. We are aware that their major worry is not the infection, but their inability to serve the Benue people at the moment.
