The sports festival was earlier this month rescheduled for April, following several postponements from the initial start date in March 2020 due to the outbreak of coronavirus.
“Our plans for the sports festival are still on because ours is to gather our athletes states by states and ensure they are present for the festival,” Akinyele told The PUNCH.“We just pray that the state won’t say they don’t have money, so that there will be full teams at the event because I received some calls from some states that they were trying to reduce the strength of their teams because they asked them to reduce the number of athletes.”All rights reserved.
