BDC ban: A step in the right direction but… - By: .By Zuhumnan Dapel Until recently, the central bank of Nigeria expended nearly half a billion dollars every month in meeting the dollar demand of Nigerians Worthy that the Dollar will soon exchange for N1000? This CBN has criminally enriched so many thieves in Nigeria. Before the new regulation, the CBN had been supplying each BDC $10,000 twice a week at the rate of N393. Can you imagine? They buy at N393 and sell to the public with extra N100. That’s an average of N2 million profit per week. That’s not business but wickedness.
